What is Amatsu Therapy?

Amatsu Therapy is a health profession with the purposes of developing, maintaining, rehabilitating or improving physical function, and relieving pain. It uses assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, and corrects dysfunctions by massage, mobilisation and other manual methods using correct application of the practitioner's natural body movement or "taijutsu".

Unlike many other therapies, Amatsu addresses the whole body and works with the body's soft tissue e.g. muscles, tendons, fascia, ligaments and organs. It helps to re-balance other key mechanical and energetic structures e.g. the spine, joints, fascia and meridian circuits. By bringing the body back into balance, Amatsu empowers the body to heal itself. Balances are suitable for people of all age groups and those with limited mobility.
